Presidents report:

Another year of fund raising has been and gone and what a year it was. We have seen committee
members come and go over the year but are fortunate enough to still have a great team at the

Our sausage sizzles and raffles are still our biggest earners. Thank you to all the sellers, cooks and
servers for all the hard work put into the sausage sizzles over the year. A special thank you goes to
Gail for her awesome organisation skills. Where would we be without you? Keep up the good work.
Kelli made the raffle draws a lot simpler by introducing the number system rather than cutting up
each individual raffle sheet. We made over $1600 on the Easter raffle and $2500 on the Christmas
raffle last year.

As usual the disco was a huge hit with the kids. There were definitely some very wacky hair styles. It
was also good to see different parents volunteer their time to help us out at this event. Thank you.

Our garage sale in July went well. Shame we couldn’t have done the sausage sizzle but we still made
around $800. Thanks to the team that volunteered to sort through everything that was donated and
put it all into sections and those who were up early and ready to go with the sale. Lot’s of people
were happy with the bargains they got.

We also did well with the Icon Photography, making over $400. Thanks Kellie for organising this.

Once again Top schools had to be our busiest time of the year. We were fortunate enough to have a
well organised team so almost everything ran smoothly. A big thank you goes out to all the sponsors
and volunteers that make this day a big success.

I’m sure all the students and teachers are very happy with the interactive white boards that were
purchased last year. It’s always nice to have something so valuable in the class rooms. We are also
able to see where all our effort and hard work goes.

Although the RSS were only ushers, the most exciting event of last year had to be the production.
The children put on an amazing performance. Well done to all the staff and parents that helped
make this day a huge success.

We will be saying goodbye to Leanne this year as both her children have now left Raureka. Thank
you very much for your years on the committee as treasurer. I’m sure if we need to we can call upon
your services to help out at up and coming major events.

Let’s hope this year is as successful as previous years with fund raising and we can bring new
members on board to help achieve this.

I have enjoyed my year as president over the past year and although Ricky has moved on to
Intermediate I hope to stay on the committee and continue to support Raureka school.

Thank you.
